Antimicrobial resistance is recognised as a major public health threat worldwide. WHO Director-General Dr Margaret Chan has warned of a "post-antibiotic era in which many common infections will no longer have a cure and, once again, kill unabated.” This week, from October 3 to 4, Chatham House held a conference on the topic. Doing our background research ahead of time, we found this Lancet article a nice primer, pointing to recent and upcoming events as well as relevant reading.
