New Webpage, Position paper and Q&A on Medicines for Older and Ageing Patients

Demographic changes in Europe are presenting challenges of how to best to care for ageing populations. From 2008 to 2050, the number of citizens over 65 years of age in Europe is expected to increase from approximately 84 to some 141 million1. Improvements in medicines and healthcare services have contributed to longer lifespans and a better quality of life. However with age, the incidence of diseases such as cognitive disorders and dementia, cardiovascular disorders, cancer and various other conditions is increasing.

Breaking Through Cancer’s Shield
