New EU Study on Corruption in the Healthcare Sector

The healthcare sector is an area that is particularly vulnerable to corruption -- and this needs to change. Patient health is at stake, while EU citizens spend over 1 trillion euro a year on healthcare. This report on corruption in the healthcare sector pinpoints specific problems to be addressed, such as the need for greater transparency between healthcare professionals and industry. EFPIA's Disclosure Code, referenced in the report, is one solution towards increasing transparency of these relationships. The aim? A more open, effective and efficient healthcare environment that best supports patient interests.
