2015 Edelman Trust Barometer: Executive Summary

The Edelman Trust Barometer 2015, an online survey in 27 countries with over 33,000 respondents (aged 18+) was launched this week.  The report showed that trust in business faltered last year.  Technology remained at the top of all industry sectors in terms of trust at 78%; chemicals, financial services, banking and media industry sectors continue to be the least-trusted, with trust levels below 60% for all four. The pharmaceutical industry scored 61%. Trust in innovation featured strongly, particular the need for transparency and third party validation.
