Alexander Roediger

Alexander Roediger is Associate Vice President, Global Lead Oncology Policy at MSD.
Alexander Roediger (1968), Swiss and German, MA and Executive Master of Business Administration, leads Global Oncology Policy at MSD. In his current role he focuses on cancer policies which support financing of cancer and timely patient access to new innovations. He is currently Chair of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) Biotherapeutics Working Group.

He has a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Zurich, Switzerland and Executive master’s degree of Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen. Having worked several years at EU and international level he chaired various industry working groups, including the Biosimilars Task Force at the European Biopharmaceutical Enterprises (EBE), the Healthcare Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU (AmCham EU) and the Oncology Platform of EFPIA. Before joining MSD, he worked for UNICEF Switzerland as Head of Policy and Media Relations, and Helsana Insurances, a major health insurer in Switzerland.
