EFPIA is delighted to announce that this year's Annual Conference: Unlocking Tomorrow's Cures, will be opened by Stefan Oschmann (Chairman of the Executive Board & CEO, Merck).

As he takes over the EFPIA Presidency, Stefan will give his assessment of the issues, challenges and exciting opportunities in front of the pharmaceutical industry in Europe.

Appointed as EFPIA Director General in April of this year, Nathalie Moll will give the closing address at the EFPIA Annual Conference: Unlocking tomorrow's cures.

Just two months into her role, the conference provides an early opportunity to hear Nathalie's perspective on the role of innovation in addressing the challenges faced by healthcare systems in Europe.

She will outline the framework needed to foster and support future innovation and the implications of delivering innovation into healthcare systems under pressure from increased demand, driven by an ageing population and increased prevalence of chronic disease.
