European business calls for deepening the EU Single Market and renewing the dynamic of European integration

After two centuries at the vanguard of technological development and innovation, in the past two decades Europe has dramatically lost its edge. The US and China are growing faster, putting them in a pole position to create more prosperity and a greener and more advanced digital future, while the EU’s competitiveness continues to fade.

With geopolitics shifting, policymakers in the European Commission and EU Member States have increasingly focused on mapping strategic dependencies, anticipating vulnerabilities, beefing up autonomy, and de-risking.

International Childhood Cancer Day

15 February marks International Childhood Cancer Day, providing an opportunity to raise awareness and emphasise the importance of supporting research to give all children with cancer the best chance to live their dreams. Thanks to medical advances, today, 80% of children survive 5 years or more after diagnosis, but we know that more can be done. With cancer remaining the leading cause of death by disease among children in Europe, we are committed to continuing our efforts to  to discover, develop and deliver innovative treatments to create a future where no families are affected by cancer.

 
 
 
 
   

EU Immunisation Strategy: From Progress to Excellence

"The upcoming elections in June offer a unique opportunity to reinforce and strengthen public health prevention efforts. The time to act is now. The EU’s recent initiatives on strengthened cooperation against vaccine-preventable diseases provide a groundwork upon which Europe and its Member States can build stronger immunisation policies. Prioritising and fortifying these policies can pave the way for transparent collaboration among stakeholders, equitable access across Member States, and ultimately, a healthier, more prosperous Europe."
