Alex Fell is the Chief Executive of the Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA), the self-regulatory body for the UK pharmaceutical industry. The PMCPA aims to provide confidence to patients and the public who rely on medicines and vaccines by embedding high ethical standards and holding pharmaceutical companies accountable for compliance.  Alex joined the PMCPA in 2022 and in 2023 was appointed as a Co-Chair of the EFPIA Code Committee. 

Prior to joining the PMCPA, from 2005-2022 Alex held a number of audit and ethics and compliance leadership roles in the UK, USA, and Singapore for a large global pharmaceutical company and an International ethics and compliance leadership role for a small biotechnology company. 

Alex began his career in Management Consultancy and is a UK Chartered Accountant.  Alex holds an Honours degree in International Business Management (with French) from Newcastle University, UK.
