Anouk De Vroey

Anouk is currently leading the EMEA Government Affairs & Policy team for the pharmaceutical division of Johnson & Johnson - Janssen pharmaceuticals. She is a member of the Janssen Europe, Middle East and Africa Leadership Team and a member of the Vaccine Alliance Team, responsible for managing the implementation of advanced purchase agreements in EMEA of Janssen’s COVID19 vaccine.

Anouk is involved in several industry platforms to support a strong climate of biopharmaceutical innovation. In her role, she provides significant input into the company’s external affairs strategy and positions articulated at Industry Association level and with external stakeholders.

Prior to this she was European Lead within the Global Policy, Advocacy & Government affairs department at Bristol-Myers Squibb. During her 22-year career in pharmaceuticals, she has been involved in initiatives to speed up the European Marketing Authorization procedures at both the EU Commission and at the European Federation of the Pharmaceutical industry. She was co-author of a publication (“Regulation 2000”), making practical recommendations to streamline European marketing authorization procedures.

At BMS she has been driving several innovative partnerships with patient advocates, medical thought leaders and policy makers. Throughout these projects, increasing speed of access to medicines for patients has been her main goal.

Anouk holds a Post-Graduate master’s degree from the University of Lille, France, specialized in EU pharmaceutical legislation and policy. She has a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Brussels, Belgium.
