Professor Frederik Vernimmen

Frederik Vernimmen is a retired Professor of Radiation Oncology, and maintains a special interest in particle radiotherapy, mainly proton therapy. He participates and voluntarily contributes to the “Hodgkin en non-Hodgkin VZW”, a Belgian patient advocacy group. He has over 30 scientific publications and has won the award of Francie van ZijL Gold Medal for Best Presentation at the Annual Academic Day 2005, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
