Solange Corriol-Rohou, a pulmonologist and an immuno-allergist by training, joined AZ R&D in 2004 and is currently Sr. Global Policy Director. Over the past 20 years, moving from the French Medicines Agency/EMA and a specialist physician position at the Hospital of Versailles (France) to the pharmaceutical industry, she has gained strategic experience in respiratory, inflammation and oncology drug development. She is also currently leading the AZ Paediatric Work Group.
Some years ago, in her role as the chair of the EFPIA Clinical Development Expert Group, she organized jointly with the EMA several successful workshops (Modelling & Simulation, Dose Finding/Dose Response, Paediatric Extrapolation). She has recently been involved in critical issues, such as Complex Clinical Trial Designs, the use of Digital tools in drug development or Paediatric Unmet Medical Needs. She has also experience working in IMI projects (Trials@Home, MOBILISE-D, EUPATI…). She has also joined ICH to complete the revision of the E11 Paediatric guideline, and is keeping the momentum with the E11A Paediatric Extrapolation guideline. While passionate about paediatric drug development, she is working to optimise drug development for the benefit of all involved including patients.
