Dr. Wolfram Schmidt is President, Head of Europe and a member of Biogen’s Extended Leadership Team. As a global executive with experience in board membership, general management, science and commercial leadership across the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, he has a deep purpose in delivering for patients by leading high-performance teams and driving innovation, partnerships and growth.

Committed to shaping the future of the sector and access environment, Dr. Schmidt is a prominent voice in industry associations, currently serving as a Board Member of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).

Dr. Schmidt has held leadership roles at Roche, Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) and Boehringer Ingelheim. He holds a master’s degree and PhD in chemistry.
