Organised by the EFPIA Cardiovascular Health Platform and the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA), in collaboration with the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, this Associated Event will explore how the recently published EU Safe Hearts Plan can support the development and implementation of national cardiovascular health strategies across EU Member States.

The event will bring together policymakers, healthcare professionals, patient advocates and industry representatives to discuss how coordinated action on cardiovascular disease - and related conditions such as diabetes and obesity - can strengthen prevention, improve patient outcomes and support more resilient health systems.

Participants will share best practices from across Europe to advance a more coordinated, pan-European approach to cardiovascular health. The event will also focus on Ireland’s ongoing efforts to develop a national cardiovascular health plan, providing an opportunity to discuss national priorities and perspectives, alongside the launch of the IPHA White Paper on cardiovascular health.
