International conference on protein stability – The gap between industry and administration Södertälje Science Park, Sweden
13 – 14 May 2025 | Södertälje Science Park, Sweden
Join the International conference on protein stability May 13-14, organized by RealHOPE and APV.
The objective of this symposium/conference is to create an arena for discussions on the recent research and industrial interest in the reality and impact of inuse handling of protein medicines. Real-life handling, important stress factors, simulation, mitigations as formulation and education will be covered. The vision is to bring together the different stakeholder groups involved and affected; patients, pharmacists, academic and industrial researchers.
About RealHOPE
The RealHOPE (Real-world handling of protein drugs - Exploration, evaluation and education) project is a joint collaboration by a consortium of 26 partners consisting of pharmaceutical and medical device companies, instrument- and app developers and logistics companies together with universities, institutes, hospital pharmacies, pharmacists and a patient organization from 6 European countries and US. Funded by EU and EFPIA partners and coordinated by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, with Sanofi as a tech lead, the year project will be active until June 2025.
The RealHOPE consortium covers in-use aspects of protein drug stability, investigating and recognising the critical steps where stability can be compromised. With the common goal to support a safe and efficient use of these medications for patients, whose life often depend on them, RealHOPE have developed concrete and practical recommendations and tools for simulation of real-life events, explored mitigation of critical handling steps, and developed educational material to ensure careful handling by healthcare and pharmacy staff as well as patients. From this, recommendations and guidelines will result that have an immediate impact on drug development, distribution, and handling.
