EU Health Summit | Time for Action Brussels, Belgium

The EU Health Coalition is delighted to announce the second edition of the EU Health Summit “Time for Action” which will take place on the 26 and 27 of October in Brussels.

After the first-ever EU Health Summit that took place in November 2018, 33 organisations came together under the umbrella of the EU Health Coalition and jointly developed 20 recommendations for a healthier Europe, presenting a community vision of health in Europe to policymakers.

In 2020, it is now time for action. Not only does the successful implementation of the 2018 recommendations require a broad support base, but also multi-stakeholder actions.

For the second edition of the EU Health Summit, all participants together with the EU Health Coalition partners, will develop implementing actions for policymakers and stakeholders to translate the 2018 recommendations into concrete tasks and improve Europeans’ health and health systems’ sustainability.

More concretely, on the first half-day of the Summit (4th of May), participants will be invited to join one of four workshops during which these implementing actions will be drafted. The second half-day of the Summit (5th of May) will be framed around the implementing actions put forward by the participants during the first half day; the key outcome being the identification of a concrete Implementation Plan for both stakeholders and policymakers.
