Even after European regulatory approval, most patients in Europe have to wait longer than needed to access new cancer medicines. In fact, tremendous inequalities exist between countries. Against this backdrop, the Time to Patient initiative is aiming to identify key hurdles and solution areas. In this article, Vintura’s Christel Jansen and Bas Amesz reflect on how they brought European stakeholders together in a constructive dialogue on the root causes of patient access delays.
