EFPIA Statement on improving the security of medicines supply in Europe
EFPIA welcomes the non-paper by 19 Member States with proposals on the common goal of improving the security of medicines supply in Europe. Reflecting the complex multiple drivers of shortages, we agree on the need to take a multi-faceted approach, and to build on existing momentum. We welcome the opportunity to collaborate further with Member States, the European Commission, EMA and other stakeholders on driving forward effective, data driven and sustainable solutions that also reinforce Europe’s leading global position as a hub for innovation, medicines production and supply.
