USTR Launches Section 301 Investigation into Germany’s Pharmaceutical Pricing Policies
U.S. trade policy instruments (such as Section 301 investigations) are a matter for the U.S. Government. EFPIA strongly supports policy reforms to increase investment in innovative medicines, address the access needs of patients, and create the right ecosystem to support a key competitive sector for the European economy.
Over recent years, Europeans have endured increasing delays in accessing medicines readily available to patients in other regions of the world, as well as growing disparities between Member States. We encourage governments to continue taking steps to recognise the value of innovative medicines and adapt reimbursement approaches to ensure that patients across Europe get access to the latest treatments.
