Earlier today, Vaccines Europe attended the ENVI-ITRE Joint Hearing on "How to secure access to COVID-19 vaccines for EU citizens: clinical trials, production and distribution challenges"

Thomas Triomphe, Executive Vice President for Vaccines at Sanofi, speaking after the Hearing said. “There is a clear sense of shared responsibility across European stakeholders in mobilizing and coordinating unprecedented efforts to respond to the pandemic challenge. We’re committed to continue working with EU institutions in this shared mission.” 

Following the Hearing, Vaccines Europe President, Sue Middleton said. “This pandemic affects us all. We appreciate everyone’s desire for up-to-date information on the research, development, manufacture and availability of COVID-19 vaccines and thank the ENVI and ITRE Committees for the opportunity to update members and the wider community on progress."
