AMR: New incentives – a call for action Virtual

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has been declared by the World Health Organisation as one of the top ten global public health threats facing humanity. The Swedish EU presidency has once again put the topic on the EU agenda and will discuss the issue at a High-Level Meeting on 6-7 March. A key issue is the need for new incentives to drive research and innovation of new antibiotics. Action needs to be taken urgently.
EFPIA and Lif Sweden cordially invite you to a Webinar to discuss the need for new economic pull incentives that can lead to the development of new and novel antimicrobials and a way forward in Europe to address this major public health threat.

The Webinar will be streamed and open for anyone to join. It will be moderated by Mr Göran Hägglund, former Minister for Health and Social Affairs in Sweden. Speakers include Kevin Outterson (CarbX), Mark Doherty (GSK), Christian Grondahl (Snipr Biome) and Kristine Peers (EFPIA).

A detailed programme will follow shortly. Please make sure you save the date by registering using the link below.
