The International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) will host its fifth global conference in Rotterdam on 2-3 May 2019, where healthcare leaders around the world will exchange progress, ideas and experiences about how patient centered outcomes are redefining value in healthcare.    

Over the past six years, ICHOM’s mission has been to unlock the potential of value-based health care (VBHC) worldwide, by partnering with patients, providers, life sciences and industry to define the outcomes that matter most to patients and supporting the measurement of these outcomes in practice.

The ICHOM 2019 conference will showcase practical examples of how measuring patient-centered outcomes is leading to improvements in the quality of care, as well as transforming service delivery and reimbursement models worldwide.

Over 750 healthcare stakeholders are expected to attend, including providers, industry, life sciences, academia and patient representatives.  

The Netherlands and Rotterdam will provide a vibrant setting for the conference. The Dutch Ministry of Health will be presenting on progress made towards its national strategy for outcome-based healthcare. ErasmusMC, who are based in Rotterdam and a long-standing ICHOM Strategic Alliance Partner, will be partnering with ICHOM for the event and sharing how they have been redesigning services around patient-centered outcomes.

The programme will include a mix of keynotes and plenaries from high profile thought-leaders, CEOs and CMOs, plus breakout sessions with tracks on clinical care, data & analytics, strategy and innovation. 

ICHOM co-founders Professor Michael E. Porter of Harvard Business School, Stefan Larsson, of Boston Consulting Group and Martin Ingvar of the Karolinska Institute are confirmed to speak. The conference will take place at the DeDoelen International Conference Center in Rotterdam, a purpose-built conference venue, and is located two minutes’ walk from Rotterdam Centraal, which is a short train journey to Rotterdam and Amsterdam airports.
